Most of my practice involves helping disabled clients secure state or federal disability assistance benefits, such as Social Security Disability Benefits (SSD), Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Aid to the Permanently and Totally Disabled (APTD). Although the administrative agencies that make eligibility recommendations for these programs attempt to make the process as accurate as possible, the eligibility criteria are complex and mistakes are often made. Often these errors can be corrected in an appeal by securing the information needed to arrive at a correct decision. Indeed, year in and year out, more than 60% of the people who have experienced disability lawyers represent them in Social Security Disability appeals ultimately succeed in getting benefits.

I will be happy to consult with you regarding any public disability benefits case as a courtesy, at no cost, either over the telephone or at our office in Concord. If I am able to take your case, we will pay the cost of securing what is needed to prepare and present the case and will not ask to be reimbursed for these expenses, win or lose. And if we are not successful in securing benefits for you, we will not charge you for the work we have done.

We understand that people who are not able to work seldom have funds to retain the legal help they need. So you would not have to pay a retainer to have us represent you. And our fees are paid on a contingency basis, at no risk to you. You only pay us for our services if we win your case, after you have received an award of back benefits. No fees are owed from ongoing benefits once you begin to receive them. And any fee we charge will be within the guidelines set by the Social Security Administration.
